THE PERFECT AGE OF ROCK N’ ROLL (2009)
“Like a lame reboot of “Eddie & The Cruisers”, this festering pile of feces features all of the most cliched moments from so many rock movies: The cross-country road trip on Route 66, the wise old hippie father-figure who drives the bus, the flash-forwards to a journalist interviewing the bitter recluse, even the most hackneyed trope of all… the baptism by performance at a blues roadhouse. It’s like a white guy playing guitar isn’t certified until he impresses an old black blues guy. Hah, maybe there’s truth to that”
