JOE (1970)“Susan Sarandon at 21, all alien-eyed on whatever pills hippies took to ‘groove’. She looks like the foxiest runaway in the Manson family. P.Boyle is a violent hardhat from Astoria, Queens (I used to see that guy at the deli) who helps her Mr. Drummond-esque dad track her down. They end up partying in the hippie scene and sessing some other groovy chicks, cause you couldn’t turn down tail back then.”-Danny Gazelle
